Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow said Saturday nothing has changed involving negotiations to sign No. 1 overall pick Mark Appel in the last 24 hours and the sides don’t have a deal. “We plan to pick up talks next week,” Luhnow said. CBS Sports reported Saturday the Astros have agreed to terms with the former Stanford senior righthander. Appel said last Thursday he didn’t plan to sign with the Astros until after he graduated.
