    LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns soccer program and head coach Scot Wieland announced the 2013 schedule on Wednesday. It will be the ninth season of play under Wieland, who coached the Cajuns to an 8-10-2 record in 2012.

    Typo on the press release. They are showing a road game on 10/27 at USA and also a home game that day vs Troy.

    Maybe a split squad or even maybe a morning game at USA then evening at home.

    With the fall athletic season just around the corner, the Ragin' Cajun soccer program has all eyes on their 2013 campaign._ Practice is slated to begin on August 7, giving them 11 days to prepare for their exhibition match against Sam Houston State at 7:00 P.M. at the Cajuns Soccer/Track Facility.

    The Ragin' Cajuns soccer team took time out of its busy schedule to pay a visit to children at Women's and Children's Hospital on Wednesday.

    Always wondered, why isn't there a huge push for men's soccer? I feel like with there being a big international community at UL that they would want it more than anything

    I was told Title 9 would require adding another sport for the women.

    Lady Cajuns Golf was on the table for UL, 2 Athletic Directors ago.

    In their first test of the 2013 campaign, the Ragin' Cajuns soccer team fell to Sam Houston State 1-0, in a friendly exhibition on Sunday evening at the Ragin' Cajuns Track/Soccer Complex.

  14. Ragin' Cajuns Women Drop Season Opener at Ole Miss, 4-0



    The Ragin' Cajuns soccer team opened their 2013 season on Friday evening, falling to Ole Miss 4-0 at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium in Oxford, Miss. The Rebels scored two goals in the 25th_and 27th_minutes of the first half, and added two more in the second half to defeat the Cajuns in the season opener.

    The Ragin' Cajuns soccer team picked up their first point of the season in a 1-1 tie with Jacksonville State on Sunday afternoon at a rainy Cajun Soccer Complex._ It was the home opener for the Cajuns, who are now 0-1-1 in the new campaign.
