The Dubai Bowl?

The Sunbelt board makes for some fun reading at times. Not much to do sports wise during the dog days of summer. My vote would be for ULM to play in Dubai. Something about Redneck country boys in a Muslim country appeals to me. I may not watch the game but I would stay tuned to the news. Also, if ULM couldn't feed or shelter its team before their bowl game, just watching them get there would be fun.

I recently went to Dubai. Man you talk about HOT! It is. The hotels aren't inexpensive, the filght is 12-13 hours & they would seemingly need to build a domed stadium. But they do have a huge INDOOR ski slope. If they can afford to build a huge residential Island with an Atlantis on it, I believe they can build a Domed Stadium. Now, just how many fans will make that trip? At just flight fares at around $2000, this is almost a no go for about 70% of our die hards.

It does look like an amazing city. Hotel rooms can be had for much cheaper than I thought.

Have you looked at how strict they are? I don't think they would like a bunch of drunk cajuns there
