City of Opelousas employees could go without their annual cost of living raise for the second consecutive year.
A discussion about suspending the 2.5 percent annual raise is slated for the Opelousas Board of Aldermen meeting on Tuesday.
Ultimately, however, the decision will be up to the city's Municipal Civil Service Board. The recommendation could be forwarded to that board after Tuesday's meeting.
If approved, it would be the second consecutive year without raises for municipal employees.
