Cajuns finish 21 is NFCA final poll, below South Alabama who is 15. I know they had a better regular season than us, but they could not even make it out of a regional that they hosted.

The ESPN.com/USA Softball poll has not been updated since May 14. Their site is horrible to try and navigate through.
You are correct. I saw final. Thanks for the corrections.
How in the heck is a LSU team that we beat 2 times at their place and went deeper into the tournament than one spot better than Louisiana?
Took the words right out of my fingers---Please somebody explain!!!!

And I thank you sir for leading me to the truth on RP---just over reacted when i saw the EVILs ahead of us and already am suffering from too much LSUing in the DA---God help us these next days!!!
My post from June 7th pertained to the NFCA poll, which the final season rankings have yet to be posted. The rankings from the NCAA RPI are the only final "poll" to come out, and that was my focus for this thread. The explanation for LSU being ahead in this ranking, well, remember, this is the results of a mathematical formula.
LSU was #6 in the last ranking, Cajuns #17. LSU had 17 opponents make the post season, 7 went to super regionals and 1 went to the World Series. The Cajuns had 10 opponents in the tournament, 3 went to supers, 2 to the Series. So, while the Cajuns' winning percentage in the post season was 67% and LSU's was 50%, they had more teams improving their opponents' winning percentage than did the Cajuns. They still dropped significantly, but our improvement wasn't enough to catch the large lead they already had on us.
