LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - Two men have been indicted in the shooting death last year of a former high school basketball star.
A Lafayette grand jury returned a second-degree murder indictment Wednesday against 20-year-old Travonte J. Broussard, of Lafayette.
The panel also indicted 20-year-old Nicholas Felix, of Lafayette, as a principal to second-degree murder. The indictment says he "intentionally participated" in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Frederick Joseph, who played basketball at Westgate High School in New Iberia.
