In that case I agree with you; they will / should be in the top half of the conference. I expect WKU to be very good, USA could be; we are getting in some new teams that we know nothing about yet. GSU came in on some of the spring sports and really did well ... they may be a force.
It does look promising for basketball, the most it has in quite a while!
I want to throw this thought out there; basketball has been hurt at UL in the past two years because of the success in football ... it used to be that half-way through the football season fans would start turning their attention to basketball, hoping THEY would have a good season to make us forget about football. Now, people aren't forgetting about football at all AND they aren't thinking about basketball until about half-way through their season. That makes it even more difficult to cultivate fans, especially if you aren't having a good season.
Expecting to have a good season helps fans transition from football season ... I am hoping this is the year we sit at the top in quite a few sports in the Sunbelt!
