Our women's basketball is on the right track with Gary Broadhead...not so sure about Marlin...I think he is on a sinking ship, unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong on that one.

The man can coach up a player! Remember the recruiting reviews on Payton and Long?

They have exceeded the decent reviews.

Long is on track with expectations of his abilities, Payton was too young for accurate expectations. Mbamalu has had great improvement but as as a junior still lacked consistency. We need to see how Ronkowski, and Shepherd perform before passing judgement that Marlin has exceptional teaching skills. We know he is subpar as a recruiter, and retention of players.

Mbamalu has improved greatly since arriving but I agree that he was inconsistent last year. However, recall he had an injury about mid season which set him back and that likely contributed to his inconsistency. Alan Michael Thompson also improved last season compared to his junior year. That is especially true for his defense. It will be interesting to see how Wrokowski and Shephere fare in their second year. Key will be how much of the three new inside players contribute. Rebounding needs to be their forte. I suspect Rimmer will be a key JC addition. I am hopeful he can contribute immediately as he has D1 experience due to his one year at Alcorn (SWAC freshman of the year in 2012).

Well we need 2 more of Peyton and two more of Long in order to get back to where we were under Jessie.
