Thanks Cajuns for an outstanding season!!!! If we can improve half as much next year as we have from last year to this, we'll be looking to host our own regional in Lafayette.

absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. great season Cajuns. way to fight through all of the adversity they came across during the regionals...super stoked for next year!
now, what to do with myself until football starts?
No Doubt... The Guys did Work this year!!! Can't wait to see what these guys accomplish next year!
It had been a while since it was this much fun to come to the Tigue. Hope all the stars lineup next year with draft, injuries, etc. because as good as we were, we didn't have the best of luck in those areas this year. This tremendous team overcame and worked their asses off
BTW --I did think that they finally gave credit for the 2 strike count clap to the guy who started it---Ron Guidry of the NY Yankees and former Cajun!!!
Agreed. Very fun team to watch, can't wait to see them improve again next year.
Lost to the #1 team in the nation at their place in the regional final. Outstanding season Cajuns. Outstanding pitching this weekend.
Great thread. I am damn proud of this team. They exceeded expectations, played their hearts out for this university and for this city, and gave us so many things to cheer about. Let's look at this in perspective. Our Univeristy this year has won a bowl game for the second straight year, our softball team reinstated the fact that they are the class of the state of Louisiana and one of the TOP teams in the country, and our baseball team just proved throughout a tremendous season that they can again compete with anyone around. If I've left anything out let me know.
I, as many people on this board, consider this University and it's athletics a large part of their lives and support them in every regard. I think we all have something special and a lot to look forward too. Geaux Cajuns and geaux THE University of Lousiana!
Really proud of this Cajuns team. Accomplished far more than expected, the hitting did us in in the regional. I was very proud of the way the pitchers showed up particularly Matt Plitt who pitched the game of his life earlier. If we get 1-2 more arms next season, we'll be in very good shape to make a much deeper run than this team made.
I was not surprised by the success of this team. Before the season started I was thinking 35 wins in the regular season and a bubble team for regionals likely a #3 seed. They did slightly exceed!
