BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A Baton Rouge jury has awarded $3,400 to a child who was left alone for 13 hours inside a home where his mother and three other people had been shot to death.
The child, Tyrone Washington Jr., was 2 when the shootings occurred on April 4, 2000. His father, Edward Tyrone Washington Sr., is serving a life sentence for the deaths.
