I don't care who they pitch, just score more runs than they do.

It depends, if our goal is just to advance in this bracket, then go with austin, but we will need our absolute best in every position to beat LSU. This is one of the best teams LSU has ever fielded (and that's saying something). If we want to have a chance in the series, we need Austin against LSU, I think Boutte can handle Sam Houston. Our best shot is Boutte-Robe-Wilson.
What is Sam Houston's record against lefties?
The numbers CajunT posted were for SHSU

Here's the nitty gritty sheet for the selection bracket. You can see the committee definitely played with it a little.
Brian, you were close. Cajuns @ 22. South AL dropped one to 17, FAU jumped from 34 to 27 and Troy dropped from 31 to 40.
It is very interesting to see the teams that didn't make the cut:
Arizona (last year's champ);
Notre Dame, Kentucky (in the top 10 early in the season), BYU (winner at LSU early in the season), Creighton, Stanford, Houston, Texas, Baylor, UC Irvine, East Carolina, Wichita St., Gonzaga, TCU, Southern Miss., Southern Cal., Tulane.
It is very nice for us to be back! This year sure helps me forget last year's team!
GEAUX CAJUNS!
pretty sure wichita is in there against kansas state
I think I'd like to see Wilson Friday because he has a better chance to pitch deep into the game than Boutte does and we're not deep pitching wise.
To get out of this regional, we have to beat LSU twice in a row, with no 'if necessary' game involved. I don't think Boutte beats LSU. I go Boutte - Aut - Scoob and play to win the dam thing.
They played 5 games in 5 days and were dang near unhittable - on the 5th day - against the best team in the country. We gotta get out of there in 3 games to have a shot.
