They weren't a host coming into the tournament. Performance there didn't help obviously

Sam Houston State looks good on paper with three starters with ERA's under 3.5 and a solid bullpen. Offense is solid and defense is OK, not great.

One thing I noticed is that their four starters (three lefties) tend to yield the free pass often. Meanwhile, as a team they yield a base-on-balls more than once every two innings pitched.

I don't see a team of power nibblers doing well against our line-up. If they get behind and come over the plate we're not going to bounce into too many DP's.
