I am a die hard cajun fan and gators fan (UF grad, but was pulling hard for the cajuns in the football game last year). They had such a difficult schedule and had a nice run mid season, but then lost 10 of 12 down the stretch. Seems like a 50 / 50 shot. If they were to get in as a #3 seed, that would be a very difficult regional to have a team that talented and given new life as a #3.
    They started very slowly, also.

As for Benson. are we really impressed that this hypocrite says "UL" when he's in our midst. but reverts to "ULL" when he gets 20 miles out of Lafayette? Nonsense. The SBC is transforming from a small life raft we've had to share, to a coffin we have to share. Benson is a mortician. We need to escape the funeral home while we have a pulse.

Does anyone know the attendance for the championship game yesterday and the total attendance for the Sunbelt tournament? I would have to think both were Sunbelt Tournament records. I don't think anyone else in the Sunbelt could have put on a more "well atended" tournament.

I don't know how they count each game, but our attendance for each of our games where:

    2172
    1444
    1612
    2528------championship Sunday
    7756Total

Sundays game was 2528, that count just don't same right. The grand stands and box seats down 1st and 3rd base lines same to be full. Capacity is 3755, so there was 1227 empty seats. I don't think so.

. and close it was .

    #23 .5683 Arizona State
    #24 .5624 Cal Poly
    #25 .5622 Alabama
    #26 .5615 Austin Peay State
    #27 .5609 Florida Atlantic
    #28 .5554 Mercer

.0013 away from the #25 spot.

South Alabama finishes at #18 and Troy at #40.

I set the game to be recorded and after I got home I went back to watch a little bit of it. At one point they showed a graphic of Sun Belt Tournament attendance statistics from each city for the past 6+ years.

It wasn't EVEN CLOSE. Lafayette's tourny attendance blew every other city out of the water. This is what it says.

    Total Tourny Attendance:
    2013 - Lafayette, La 10,813
    2012 - Bowling Green, KY 3,863
    2011 - Monroe, LA 5,469
    2010 - Murfreesboro, TN 4,581
    2009 - Troy, AL 8,706
    2008 - Lafayette, LA 11,155

    2003 - Lafayette, LA 14,179

Hey, this is really impressive. Looks like we are keeping the Sun Belt afloat with New Orleans Bowl and Conference baseball tournament money! But, I guess market size is still the most important. Ha Ha
