You have three Sun Belt schools in the area that need places to go ... with South Alabama and Louisiana likely both being #2 seeds ... Troy probably being a #3 seed. All Sun Belt schools must be sent to different regionals. South Alabama is the most likely candidate for Starkville ... especially when you consider they will be considered the top #2 seed among the Sun Belt schools (LSU > FSU > MSU). If the Cajuns went to Starkville, then South Alabama needs to go somewhere else. Troy makes sense in Tallahassee.
It will be interesting to see if LSU/Louisiana/Rice are in the Baton Rouge regional ... or if the NCAA lightens up on LSU (which will likely be a Top 4 national seed) and sends someone like Sam Houston State (provided they make the field). Central Arkansas is also a possibility as a #3 seed (just within the 400 mile bus trip), but may not have the RPI rank necessary to warrant a #3 seed (#63).

Who told you that? Thats just someone not knowing how it works. The SBC is a top 5 conference. The NCAA is not going to limit this conference to 2 or 3 teams. Four teams in the top 40 RPI with worthy resumes. We may have gotten 5 in if someone else won the tourney. Not to mention we have a top 25 rpi
I would definitely be ok with Rice being sent elsewhere and not seeing Kubitza on day 1
If its a team like Rice, you are almost forced to start Austin in game 1. If its a lower RPI 3 seed, it would be nice to throw Boutte first. No matter who starts, it's nice to have this lineup behind you
if I heard correctly, the sites will be announced tonight and the participants tomorrow at abut 11:00 AM????? IS this correct???
His numbers were ludicrous that year. That was his soph season in 2010 where he won the Howser Trophy and batted near .400 with 25+ HRs. Easily his best season at Rice
On a side note, Kjerstad batted his way into the nations top 10 in average this weekend. Raised his BA nearly 25 pts.
