There are many similarities between the No. 8-seeded Michigan Wolverines and the UL Ragin' Cajuns softball teams and programs.

How important is it to recruiting to get to the WCWS this year? IMO it is very important, but not critical. UL has stocked some wicked looking players with the new eight coming in. Still a successful appearance in the WCWS gives Coach Lotief ammunition that says indeed sign with UL, we get there and compete on a continued, and regular basis. Why waste your time and talent at so and so?
And you can feel the LOVE at Lamson Park like no other place in college softball.
There's a LOT of hype about the pitching matchup, but with these two lineups, I can't see 1-0 final scores this weekend... Seems like nobody's talking about the 150+ home runs these two teams combined hit this year!!
GEAUX CAJUNS !!!
5 years ago I would have bet you everything that UL would have won a national championship within the 4 years of play for our past all american pitcher Ashley B. however, that didn't happen. So, now I am unsure that will ever happen????
We've got a shot at a national championship every nearly every year in softball. That's not being a homer, that's just a fact. I thought last years team was going to be "the team", but we ran into a tough situation in having to beat the #2 team three times. That's no easy feat, and we only came up one short.
You have to be GOOD and LUCKY to win the National Championship .We were GOOD last year. This year we are GOOD. LUCK needs to be on our side. GEAUX CAJUNS ! LOUD and PROUD !!!
Our power hitters need to step it up against the Wolverettes. If we get into the WCS, we'll likely play Oklahoma, which would be a tough W. IMO, you can't win it all without 2 stud pitchers. Not a new revelation, I know, but just pointing to the fact that this team, though loaded on offense, doesn't have pitching depth. Using V.Brown in the BR regional would have been risky and may not have given us the same result, but if she had managed to win her game, or even threw a few innings to start a game, it would have been invaluable experience for her going into the supers and possibly the WCS.
Just for the love of god....when we do make it, PLEASE don't refer to us as the Cinderella team.
Tank bro, maybe you can pass the word along.
Hey Slick,
Wolverettes. I like it!
