People who bring up "all time" series when they are disappointed live in the past. Some UNO fans used to do that when Jessie Evans was beating them regularly in basketball.

Earl's LSU softball check list...
Start program...check
Pump millions into program....check
Build new stadium...check
Hire away one of the most successful coaches in the country from an instate rival...check
Become a dominate team in the SEC...check
Become THE dominate team in Louisiana...FAIL
If I were a betting man, Beth won't last long in Baton Rouge. Cajuns are her Achilles' heel, and GOD forbid an instate school dominate Alice Shoe in any sport.
I bet they hire the South Al coach next, they need to find someone that has had success vs UL in softball and that is a short F'n list. They will keep trying until they can defeat us. The only way I see that happening is if they get Mike to go their and their is a slim chance in H.E Double Hockey sticks of that happening.
Mike will never coach at LSU. They offer nothing that he actually wants. He's only still coaching today because he loves the University of Lousiana and the kids he coaches. And that's BARELY enough to keep him grinding.
To both Lctish and Jllanclos, my post was sarcasm at best. I dont think either the USA coach or Mike will end up at LSU, I was kind of kidding that this would be the only way they can beat UL!
1. It was not that they were bad, Jordan was better. A good pitcher will do that.
2. I wish she had help. Without another pitcher we cannot go very deep into the fray we are hoping to join.
3. We easily outnumbered their fans 3-1
4. It was nice to attend a game and have the PA announcer act normal. He made the players the center of attention, instead of himself. He called us UL until someone got to him on days two and three.
Torino seemed clueless...which, I guess, is why her timeouts were minimal.
From the Advocate: “Congratulations to ULL, they have a quality team and a quality program,” Torina said. “Obviously, this is not what we were expecting. This is not the type of softball we have played all year. We’re better than what we showed this weekend. We’re a quality program, and I think that’s what matters.”
I think she is clueless regarding what tanktop tiggah fans expect. Her postgame comments will not endear her to them or contribute to a long tenure, especially the last line. I don't think they will tolerate losing (especially to UL) as long as they have a "quality program".
If you have to keep reminding everyone that you are a quality team and quality program . . . maybe you're not. If they would play UL during the regular season then perhaps they would see the same results during the season. In addition, if UL and LSU would play a home and home series each, the Cajuns and Tigers might not be matched up so often in the post-season. Maybe that is a reason for the Cajuns not to play the Tigers during the season. Let them host a regional we can win.
