I think it is time to come out with the poster for all the great pitchers in Cajun softball history---Well I can remember Steff Lotief, Hall (?), Brignac, now Wallace and help me on some more of which I am sure there are!!!

Is Earl the guy who wondered how the Cajuns softball program would do in recruiting since the LSU team went further last year (WCWS) that the Cajun team (super regional loss) and that they had a young female coach. He kept asking how would the program deal with this. Answer most gave was that we were generally outrecruited but our staff found something in players others did not see and coached them up. He never accepted the answer. Regardless of that, Jordan Wallace has been "coached up".

That is exactly who Earl is. Last year, he came on RP to smugly, prematurely announce to us all the demise of UL softball at the expense of LSU. And no, he could not process the concept of our recruiting and "coaching up" that invalidated his assertion. We recruit well against ranked programs. Where those battles limit us on paper, our staff has always used unparalleled skills to identify talent (skills, ethic, family/team/personality fit) that their coaching abilities, for our specific program approach, clearly make and sustain us as an outstanding program.

I don't think I've ever heard Stevie P's radio show, it may be as bad as people say. But I think he is a more that capable play by play guy for softball and baseball. You always know what is going on and he doesn't talk too much.

Stevie does't talk too much??? What??? He doesn't shutup. That's why most people I know prefer to watch on the internet rather then listen to him talk continuosly from the time he turns the mike on until he turns it off.

Well your are right. They gave her a hit. In my score book for some reason they have an E/6 next to her name because it went through her legs off her glove......but hey, a run is a run.

No, it was an error (E6) ... not a hit. Drahiem reached due to the error. But that does not mean the run would not have scored on the play, regardless of the error. Myers was going to score on the play whether Drahiem was thrown out or not. Hence the credited RBI.

Just getting to my computer after attending the game. I was in the SRO section down the first base line and saw a very special moment... and myabe it was just my imagination. With the bases loaded, one out and the tiggger best hitter (guess that is a relative term because there was no best tiggger hitter against Jordan... but i digress) up, Coach Lotief could not come to the mound without removing Jordan which was not going to happen.. He just got off his can.... yes it is a can I think.... and looked out at Jordan who looked at him... not much to say at that point.. she was on her own to win or lose it.... Coach Lotief touched his fingers to his head as if to say be smart.... and then pointed to his heart....

Again maybe it was my imagination...but I did see it.... and thought wow... what a moment

maybe the genious guy can fit that question inbetween telling everyone how great he is and asking the girls what is on their IPOD's....

Seems there is SOME question? Tonight on Fox News 8 it seems Fico was cheated out of a win by her sucky defense that let the first run score. Then she shut down Cajun after Cajun. I get biased reporting but that one minute venue made it sound like the run was caused by the error, and we know it was not, and oh, by the way Louisiana State was never able to scored a run in fourteen innings against Wallace, the MVP of the regional.

Like I said, since the Cajuns will never be loved by the masses of Louisiana just go ahead and hate on us.
