2007-08 Volunteer Days

It has been set. Coach Robichaux and Gerald Hebert have come up with the dates of February 9th & 10th for having a work day at the Tigue. Also, a work day is planned for the Track/Soccer Facility the same day.

Volunteers will be needed for both days.

Projects planned are: 1) Pressure Washing, so if you have a pressure washer, try and bring it.
2) General Grounds clean up.
3) Some general Painting.
4) Other projects will be disgusted at a meeting before the weekend, so be checking this board.

Gerald also wanted me to mention of some Major Landscaping Projects that will occur for the Athletic Complex to be coming soon, he is real excited about this.

It is only 13 weeks to fan day and 14 weeks til baseball.

RAGIN CAJUN VOLUNTEER WEEKEND
Arrival time: 8:30 am
Start up Time: 9:00 am

9am till 11:30 am
Pressure Wash Both sides of Grand Stands.
Front side- 3 washers.
Bleacher side – 4 washers.

Painting All handrails in Box Seat Areas
a) 3rd base side
b) 1st base side
c) Behind Home plate

Gravel Work
a) Spread Gravel under bleacher 1st & 3rd base side as needed.

11:30am till 12:30pm Break For Lunch

2 pm till end of Day
Wash outfield walls
Continue Pressure Washing, Gravel Work, & Painting.

It was decided by Coach Robe and Gerald Hebert to postpone Baseball work weekend til February. Sorry Guys, This will give us more time to finalize getting pressure washers, paint , etc.
So mark this weekend on your calendar.

I would think it would depend upon what the weather forcast looks like.

Gerald cornered me about this weekend before I walked out of the IPF yesterday! LOL! Unfortunately I am back in Gods Country for the next 2 weeks, where the men are men and the sheep are scared!!! Kind of similar to Ruston, La.

I plan on going saturday even though the old lady is happy. I won't be able to bring anything because I'm poor with a 9 month old girl, but I am 6'3 so i can pressure wash really high places!!! No really, I'm excited about going, it's my first time. One day I hope to join all the clubs and help out financially but I've got my own facility issues. I'm lucky, my dad has 8 tickets for baseball, 6 for football, and 4 for basketball. I do catch a couple softball and girls basketball games on my own. Anyway, can't wait, hope to meet some people.
