This will be a tough one to come back from, but I think Boutte matches up good with their lineup
"You gotta play 9 innings" Tony Robichaux. Ya think????
I love coach rob
Is it me our did Robichaux lose his stuff after his great attempt at getting that USA hitter at first? I hope he didn't hurt himself.
I thought the same thing.. even said it t at the game.... great effort... in retrospect might have been better holding the ball... but I still love the effort of everyone on this team... thats baseball.... what I am regretting is getting swept at Middle Tennessee... I think that will bite us in the end
Lets win two tomorrow
I just think that south al is a more complete team than us. This is what happens when you lack pitching dept. all I am hoping for is to win at least one game in a regional. With griffith coming back next year I think that is our chance.
Guys, chill. Everyone's freaking out. It's not like this is some terrible team that we just lost to. It's the 1st place team for a reason. Don't get me wrong, I'm just as ____ed as the next guy. I left that game fuming. But, it's not all doom and gloom. I knew as soon as that reliever came in the game, the momentum would change... their bullpen is their strong suit. They are not unbeatable... let's take both tomorrow and then see where we stand. I'm not going to freak out because we lost the first game in a series with arguably the best team in the conference.
So again, everyone chill... this is baseball. 1 game does not prove anything.
I think everyone here knows it's baseball, and knows that USA is arguably the best team in the conference. We are "fans" and we all know where the word fan comes from. You admittedly were fuming after leaving the game. Most of us simply fuming and venting on this, the UL FAN forum. No one said they were about to jump off the deep end because the baseball team lost the game tonight.
Of course this is just my opinion, but a lot of people were as upset as they were for two reasons. One, I believe it was a residual effect of the hugely disappointing outcome in the softball tournament. The other is the fact that the Cajuns started the game off so well, and fell flat for the next 7 innings. How many times does a team have a 6-run inning and lose a game? I'd guess not very often. Adding to the fact that this is the biggest series of the year, and you can see why people would be upset. But I probably don't have to tell you all that.
I know your post was well meaning, and I appreciate the attempt to be the "voice of reason" but I think most everyone will wake up in the morning just as hopeful as they were before the series began, and trying to will their Cajuns to a series victory. That would have been the case with or without your post. Maybe it's just me, but I get irritated when people come on here and tell me to "chill". Anyway...
GEAUX CAJUNS!
