Wow. 3rd best in our own conference. They fought hard, but the big bats other than Draheim just didn't deliver like we needed them to.

Well unlike previous years the SBC has three legit teams and should get two at-large teams into the tourney. That has never happened before in this league. We are down slightly from previous years but give credit to W.Ky and S. Al for some great performances this year. I hope they go on to win their respective regionals.

Have the Cajuns won a single big or meaningful game this year? This is a very difficult year, by Cajun standards. I'm not very confident heading into this week. We only get into the NCAA on our reputation. We haven't beaten anyone in a meaningful game. Hope we find a gear that I'm not sure this team even has. But I've seen it done. Contrary to popular opinion, "being hot" isn't always necessary for success. If I remember correctly, our first Super Regional baseball team limped into Houston and dominated the regional. Hope that happens here, but...WOW. Disappointing season, by a mile.

I know, game over. But IMO, in the bottom of the 8th with bases loaded, needing one run to win, pinch hit for Maly. Maybe Vincent to try and get the ball out the infield. Hit are fly ball. Maly slapps to the pitcher and force at home. Then Fernandey slaps for the third out........

The RPI is good enough to get us in the tournmanet, so it won't be just in reputation. Depending on which regional the Cajuns are sent to, it could very well be difficult to get out of it. If its Texas or LSU, those would be very difficult. Bottom-line, the team is still getting to a regional even after a difficult season.

Yes it's disappointing compared to past years but lets settle down a little. This team is 30 games over .500. They're top 25 RPI and in the polls. Both games lost this weekend were a few inches from going our way. We're not getting in on reputation, we've earned a regional and its a bit of a slap in the face of the players to say otherwise. Yes this isn't the best team in the last 5-10 years, but its not the worst. They had to overcome some hurdles and are getting in on merit
