There was no premature hook nor a whiff of controversy Friday night at Minute Maid Park. In accordance with the rules, Astros manager Bo Porter didn’t pull lefthanded reliever Wesley Wright before letting him face a batter. One batter, however, was all it took for the Rangers to take control against Wright. After Dallas Keuchel pitched six strong innings for the Astros, left fielder Jeff Baker greeted Wright with a leadoff home run in the seventh to break a tie and propel the Texans Rangers to an eventual 4-2 victory at Minute Maid Park.
