If played tonight, and rain hits at 7, and game called in 3rd or 4th inning.. both head guys my bet is, they didn't want to waste the stud pitchers cause they would be done for the weekend

Obviously, the two coaches sought out advice from a meteorologist. As best they could tell at that time, it was goi g to be raining...and I would suspect neither coach wanted to waste an outing by their ace.
It's easy to say now that it didn't rain.
I say go opposite of what the weather man says they are never right!
