I remember the name Butch Harris, I think he came out of Oklahoma, and he could hit like a blind mule.

Anybody have a photo they could post? I can't seem to picture him...Did he play after his time at UL?

I think Xavier Alexander is now second or tied for second on that list. Robe did eveyrhing in his power to stop X from breaking the record this year. I don't know how X kept the steak alive getting key hits during a stretch when he only was given a one pinch hit at bat.

Yes, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma if I remember correctly. "Speed and Agility" was the cry from the crowd announcer sitting behind home plate every time Butch landed himself at first base.

I remember Butch hitting a line drive so hard one time he put the Prairie View A&M pitcher in the hospital (off the forehead).

X had a 21 game streak this year. I almost positive Robe wasn't aware of the streak when he pinch hit X in the 8th or 9th inning in a game we were winning by a large amount in Florida (FAU or FIU, not sure which). Maybe BOP could clarify.
