Former Opelousas Catholic girls basketball coach Erroll Rogers took time before hitting the road to recruit to speak with Daily World sports editor Eric Narcisse about life as the new head Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns women's basketball coach. Q: Have you and your family made the move to Lafayette? A: Yes we have. We bought a house out here. Q: Have y'all had a lot of people calling to congratulate you and/or to see how things are going? A: No not really. We haven't put a house phone on yet and not everyone has my cell phone. There is no house phone, so that's great. Q: Has it sunk in yet that you are a women's college basketball coach? A: I don't even look at it as me being a head coach. I'm a coach. I have a job to do, so I'm just trying to work. I thought I had read this before, the same interview is in todays paper. How does the Opelousas paper get this story half a week before the Advertiser?

The interviewer is Eric Narcisse, sports editor for the Opelousas Daily World. The ODW and the Daily Advertiser are both owned by Gannett. Let's just say the DA "borrowed" the story from ODW.
