I don't think any of our other pitchers could have given us a win. But that's just me.

I don't know if they could not have won, but they have not given us many indications this season that would make you say "yeah, she would have held on and won." Hamilton was good two years ago, but with the injury in the 11' regionals, she has not been the same pitcher in my opinion.
We have a young pitching staff overall, two freshman and two sophomores I think. If one of the three behind Wallace can step up, we'll be trouble for any team in the future.
Side note - South Al handling Troy 5-1 in the 4th.
South 5-8-1
Troy 1-3-1
Campbell in the circle. Both pitchers are lights out, but who do we want to face tomorrow?

One of the other pitchers could have came in and threw some strikes. It wasnt like they were knocking the stuffing out of the ball. Wallace wasnt putting the ball ober the plate.
But hey, in the end Coach made the right decision.TThy got out of that game with a win. I am worried about how much that game took iut of Jordan though.
Also, if Coach didnt make a pitching change in THAT situation it shows that he has zero confidence in anyone not named JW. I really thought some of the other pitchers were starting to build confidence towards the end of the year.
Going to be tough to win a regional like that.
I can't see this team winning a regional much less a super regional with one pitcher.
Not being sarcastic, but what have you been watching all year? There has been no second pitcher that has stepped up with any consistency other than the occasional short stint all season long. Coach Lotief stated Monday that he would not change that approach for the Sun Belt Tournament and go with what they have done during the 22 game winning streak.
What you will see is Wallace starting games as they advance and if they can jump out on an opponent with a big lead than you might see someone come in to pitch a short stint in relief. If the Cajuns make it to the final day and have to play two games, than you might see Brown start one game and Wallace come in for a relief stint to close the door. He is going to ride Wallace as much as possible this week and in the regional.
