I've seen Martinez, Brown and Hamilton pitch in numerous games this year. Unless we would catch a team on a very bad day for them, none of those three can win a game for us. We will go as far as Wallace...backed up by a bunch of runs...will take us.

Maybe Wallace was due for a subpar performance and now that she got it out of the way she will get back to her usual brilliant self!
I do have to say that after struggling with control through the fifth she was pretty solid in the last three innings. The throwout by Leandra Maly at 2nd was clutch and probably won us the game, but it won't show up on the stats.
The only rest time that matters is sleep time. Two or three hours more or less after a good nights rest makes no difference.
Clearly coach was hoping to take a nice big lead into the late innings, and have Jordan limit her pitch count by frugal substation. That is out the window now.
Wallace has had a very good year, but not a great year. She has gone through stretches where she just plain overpowered the lesser hitters she faced...but then was very hitable when facing quality hitters.
Don't get me wrong. I am very glad to have her and think she can be one of the very best to ever pitch here. That will come in the next two years as she improves.
Has anyone notice Jordan's delivery in the circle? Was there something different? Can't put my finger on it but I thought I saw some little change. Want say what I think it is untill I see some film of her in past games. Then I might have been seeing something not there because of her poor start.
