UL awaits dangerous SBC field

That is a pretty bold statement. The softball team will be hard pressed to win the tournament. No doubt USA won it last year and they are better this year, and I doubt anyone can say with a straight face that we are even close to as good as last year.

In addition we are in the three spot have to beat both WKU and USA. That is a big, big for a team with one quality pitcher.

I am hoping Hamilton returns to her 2011 form, and the young Brown somehow develops mental toughness this week, we need both to perform well, in addition to Wallace having her normal great outings.

It is a bold statement, but an accurate one. And if they do it right, and they will, they will only have to beat those two teams once. When the ladies play and beat South AL Thursday, the Jaguars will go to the other side of the bracket and become Western's problem. USA will have to beat WKU twice to get to the championship game, which will be very tough for them to do. Projection: Cajuns will play FIU, USA, UNT & WKU.
