Wallace Wins Fourth Pitcher of the Week Award in 2013

After starting all three games in a weekend sweep of ULM, Ragin’ Cajuns sophomore pitcher Jordan Wallace was named the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week, for the week of April 29-May 5. Wallace tossed 13.0 innings, going 2-0 with 19 strikeouts and a 1.62 ERA.

She would have been 3-0 but was taken out of the first game after 3 innings and the Cajuns were up 5-0. ULM did not score until the bottom of the 7th.

So what is the deal with the # of innings pitched now??? I remember when Cajun pitchers seemed to throw forever and then the 2 different pitchers a day appeared---can one lady handle it???

Boomer after what happened to Brooke Mitchell they started spending more time developing pitchers during the season.

Brooke kind of hit a wall coming up through the losers bracket.

I think you will see her pitch more than one game in a day in the conference tournament or the regional if needed. I think they are just being careful and giving her rest when they can.
