The Cajuns' RPI was up a scant .0008 after Friday's win ... to .5667. I would expect something similar after the win tonight. The Cajuns likely pass #24 UNC-Wilmington, but probably do not catch idle #22 Mercer (.5707) and will not catch #23 Louisville (.5704).
However, #27 Maryland (.5648) should pass the Cajuns after their 7-2 road win over #14 Clemson. This will likely leave the Cajuns in their #25 spot.
Unfortunately, the Cajuns were not able to gain any ground on South Alabama today. After trailing 11-9 in the B14th (Game #1 resumed from Friday night), the Jags plated three runs (all with two outs) to win 12-11. Middle gave that game way in the B14th with three walks, two HBPs, and an error. South Alabama did not have a single hit in the inning.
South Alabama took the second game today, 3-2 ... also in extra innings (10 innings).
