Thread: UL freshman shortstop Trahan has huge impact on Cajuns' success

  1. UL Baseball UL freshman shortstop Trahan has huge impact on Cajuns' success

He's been practically unflappable at a position where shaky play can sink a team.

He actually has committed 11 errors in 207 chances, but doesn't dwell on each miscue when he does make one.

"Trahan" one of the great "French" names out there.

Right. Down in these parts it is not "Treyhand"

Whatever we call him, I'm just glad we can call him a Cajun for the next 3 years! This guy has been phenomenal from day one.

Next 2 years guaranteed. I think his size will hurt him as a possible early signee after his junior year, but we'll have to see how it goes when the time comes.

Jay said it either during a show or a game that Blake said his family pronounces it trayhan

The Trahans of Kinder need to reconnect with their Cajun roots

I don't trust family knowledge on things like this.

I have a friend Aaron from Kaplan who moved to New York City and while he was there pronounced his name Trayhand. Comes home he is Trahan again.

I bet if he stayed away for a single generation his kids (right now he has none) will think the family name (while 100% French in origin) is pronounced Trayhand.
