    Ragin' Cajuns Cocoon Happenings

A month or so ago, the TAF along with Bertman, Miles, Chancellor and perhaps other coaches had a "meet and greet" at the Cajundome. Now it is learned that McNeese held the "Cowboy Round-Up" at the Petroleum Club. These people are out there telling the story of their respective programs, plans and teams. Pressing the flesh, cajoling the faithful, listening to supporters, spending TIME with boosters, not to mention maybe some collecting of funds.

Is there not plans for a caravan throughout Louisiana, southeast Texas, Mississippi and anywhere several Cajun fans can gather? Must everything happen in a cocoon when it comes to a very successful university, both academically and athletically.

Bustle did a bus tour thing and their was a Ragin Cajun get together at local restaurant. I want to say it was Charlies Grill in Metairie. It was for the lunch crowd if memory serves so I couldn't make it.

Excellent post! However, now if we do something similar we will be tabbed as copy cats. Can't win for losing.

Doesn't " Ragin' Road Rally " have a nice ring to it?

Instead it seems we have the "Cajun Cocoon"

ps It was 2002 when the "new" coaching staff did a complete statewide tour.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have another one right before football season and stage the events at night so working Cajun fans can attend. While you are at it hold one of those rubber chicken $50.00 a ticket affairs so they can raise money for football. I would think from Houston to New Orleans would cover a lot of our alumni base.

    _
No offense, but, Gerald Hebert is neither the Athletic Director of The University Of Louisiana nor the Head Coach of The University Of Louisiana.

A coach's tour should originate in either of those two offices....One would hope.
