USC will be a great experience for the players, coaches, and family. I went there a few years back and had a great time. I plan on going agian this season, and will surly enjoy the hospitatilty of the South Carolinians.Originally Posted by MissingMandy
There will be plenty of fans with attitude when Ohio comes into Cajun Field almost a year late. I do not think the coach will get the ususal friendly boos that comes as a visitor to your stadium. He will hear it big time.
Here is the change you are fixated and obsessed with your experience there and I'm not.Originally Posted by RCAJUN90

I'm sure the Advertiser will pick up on this angle closer to the game, but McNeese and UL will be led by quarterbacks from long time high school rivals Erath and CHS New iberia. They faced each other 3 times in High School with Desormeaux coming out on top twice. Jr at the time Fourreaux scored on a two point coversion run in overtime to win the last meeting, Desormeaux's senior year. Fourreaux is an excellent quarterback, very similar to Desormeaux. Fourreaux may have a little stronger arm, and Mike is a more elusive runner, but they are both excellent atheletes and both throw and run well, and are great leaders.....just a ball to watch.
Should be a fun game.
I could be wrong but I don't think that Erath beat CHS in Mike's Sr year.
I was at the game (in fact standing on the Erath track directly behind the endzone), Fourreaux ran in a two point conversion in overtime (may have been double overtime, I don't remember) to win the game. It was CHS' only district loss that year, and cost them the outright championship, they had to share it with Teurlings. Also cost them dearly in power rankings so they went into the playoffs a 15 and had to play #1 parkview in the second round.
CHS avenged the loss the next year at CHS, beating Fourreaux during his Senior year. CHS' quarterback that year was current ULM reciever Josh Boudreaux (I assume he's still there).
I think it is very winnable and a must win for Bustle.
Some will say the McNeese game is just another game. Reality is the season is riding heavily on what happens when we take the field against McNeese. A home loss against Mcneese and attendence will suffer greatly for the rest of the season. Plus a loss to McNeese may signal that a change is needed at the head coach position in some fan's eyes.
