Huh? Green eggs and ham? I do not like them, Sam-I-am. I do not like green eggs and ham. But a fan I am. Go learn to spell, a fan I am of UL.

If you are still interested in Cajun football enough to cruise a message board after the last decade we have been through then in my book you are a fan. Funny how all these threads spin out of control. To many Ksips not enjoying their private board. I guess patting yourself on the back gets old real quick. _
I love all the ksippers...they make me laugh. You can tell who are true fans and who aren't and it has nothign to do with who speaks positive or negative. A 5th grader could figure out that some of these people would only like to see UL topple.

Hey, all I wanted to do was give a genuine thanks for the "good pub" that the McNeese Round Up got from Dan McDonald at the Advertiser. The day after, the McNeese Sports adminstration thought it was a very classy gesture on the paper's part.

I never thought all of this would spin out of control like it did. UL has a lot to be proud of in its athletic tradition and your facilities are first rate. We at McNeese have a tough battle to fight for upgrading all of our facilities, but we are slowly getting there.

Maybe some of the posters are right, we are making too much out of the game. It does get woefully tiresome after a while. But, I will say, we took different paths and that's really fine. We really don't have the growth or can anticipate the growth that UL has had, and we are okay just where we are.

I hope some day UL can reach its pinnacle that it is truly working hard for and truly deserves.

Thomas Paine once said "That which we achieve too easily we esteem too lightly for it is dearness alone that gives it value. . ." One day the Beast in the East will have their come uppance precisely because of that statement but we need to all pull in the same direction because it is really an exhausting fight sometimes.

I'll try to stay quite for a while; didn't mean to get you guys on a tangent.

Well why don't you give me a unique name?

Cajunsmike you have always seemed to me to be a nice poster. Why would you make something private like a message board then come on here to mix with others. Sorry I don't get it and we use to make fun WKU for doing the same. I know it was not your decision so no hard feelings it just seems many of you guys including CalifCajun come on here. Why not open up?

Why would "we" make fun of WKU fans for having a "private" forum? If it's their forum why can't they have it the way it anyway they want? Did you want to join?

No but I recall a lot of pokes and jabs at them since we couldn't talk to them about a basketball game. Very similar to what your leader has constructed at delphi.

I think the UL forum on Delphi forum is great. Lots of honest talk by Cajun fans about Cajun programs with very little interference from "outsiders". I was one of the longtime supporters of the change.

The bottom line is the private UL forum isn't for everyone but then neither are Mardi Gras krewes and country clubs and Elk Lodges.

The two message boards have different styles and I happen to get something out of both. Delphi was made private mainly to avoid the fans from other schools dominating the discussion. Those turned into flame wars and did not advance the progress of UL athletics. Turbine seems to do a good job of preventing that here also. Some of it has shown up in the McNeese game threads here but that was to be expected.

I cannot comprehend the need to explain this. I have never attempted to get on the Delphi, but I believe I shall. Is there any more of that infamous kool-aid left? I find myself a tad parched, and believe it the nectar of the Gods... by word of Mr. RC90.

Tread lightly I was banned a few years back for nothing even so that 90 character is making the place sound good.

I am the new kid on the block (I use the word kid lightly) and I like both forums. The private forum is great because you can talk intelligently with UL fans who care and not have to listen to the LSU BS. I don't have any tolerence for ignorance and when that forum was open , the ignorance was flowing like water from outside people plus I don't like to hear from some troll about the choices my son made. I like this forum because it is open but seems to not be a vicious place, just informative. One game at a time my dad use to say. Think about the first one before thinking about the second. When that ones over move on to the next. Forget about the last one. How about concentrating on the first game. I am positive that is what the players do. I may be living in lala land but never say never as there is ALWAYS a possibility to win a game even against a great opponent. Looking forward to a great season, getting to know everyone and hopefully maybe once or twice seeing my boy play. Take care all.
