We lost well to USC and Ohio. We need to simple win against McNeese. I don't care if it by one point. A loss would be devistating to this program not so much because it is McNeese but to start the season at 0-3 with a loss to an old rival will kill attendance and start us on a downward spiral. Six years is enough to bring this program back from the dead. Right now we seem to still be in the ICU.

    Well said . . .

What happens the rest of the season should determine Bustle's fate, in light of where we are in his tenure. The loss Saturday hurt, given we dominated the first half and looked completely lost and inept in the second half. We are overdue for a good season under Bustle, and that means a good SEASON, not a good half of a season or a good three-game stretch. If he can't get it done this year, in his 6th season, then it's time to pull the plug.

Here's hoping for the best. Beat the hell outta McNeese!

Seriously, you weren't here last week when we played better than what the entire universe expected against Carolina.

I wonder, will you ever come here and give credit to the Cajuns where credit is due when it is due?

Or are you just here in an effort to make everyone just a tad more miserable?

Listening to BOP comment on this during his radio show, and his comment is as follows: Bustle has three years remaining on his contract, and he's not going anywhere right now. UL doesn't have the money to buy our contracts, so you don't have to consider Bustle leaving this year under any circumstances, with the exception if he decides to leave himself.

  8. UL Football UL vs. McNeese: It may come down to the X factor

DesormeauX - FourrouX keys to teams' successes

The only thing that's changed is the distance and a few more left turns.

After all, it took only two turns - one onto Highway 14 just a block away, and one where the highway crosses South Broadway - to get from Catholic High in New Iberia to Erath High.

Traversing from UL to McNeese is a little more difficult, but not much. Instead of 13.5 miles separating two of the Acadiana area's best quarterbacks in recent years, it's now about 75.

Derrick Fourroux, one of the prides of Erath, will make that 75-mile journey today to lead McNeese against UL. Holding home-field advantage is Cajun starter Michael Desormeaux, the engineer of Catholic's success in the early part of the decade.

The matchup is ripe with irony, especially since both made an impact at their respective schools a lot earlier than expected.

  9. I have a Question McNeese Fan cuffed

Can anyone tell me what led to this? It was after the game.

When I caught up with the situation he didn't seem unruly.

I don't tknow what transpired before. Do you?

They were cuffing any McNeese fan that got on the field after the game.

Meanwhile there was a bunch of kids throwing footballs around on the other end of the field.

That is not right or fair.

However two of the kids were the sons or son and friend of a McNeese coach or staffer.

I only know this because I was walking by the bus when the McNeese dad told the ball throwers it was time to go.
