Billy, last year's team was not as big or as experienced as they needed to be. However, you cannot question their effort. They played every bit as hard as the girls softball team does. In fact, they probably overachieved to win 13 games.

Marlin is a good "X's and O's" coach but he's got to recruit better players if he is to be successful on the court. He's yet to show if he can do that or not.

Let's see. An assistant coach needs a job so he takes one he doesn't like and because he doesn't like it he blows off recruiting and uses this job to seek another.

Ok, but what is the deal with this Shawn Forrest cat? He went to LSU before coming here and only stayed there a few months as well. He sounds flaky.

The problem is Marlin seems to get flaky assistants. Thats not a good sign if indeed another asst has left this soon. That ultimately goes back to marlin.
