To add some color commentary to Andre's game posts, there were some very good line drives hit;
Dylan Baker is seeing and hittng the ball very well, he hit several in the gap to the wall;
Michael Strenz's home run was up in the pine trees, the only question was if it would stay fair.

If we can find some pitching depth, and Matt Plitt's 8 innings showed some, we will give people some problems.

I wonder if Robe was trying to send a message to the other pitchers (the ones that pitched in the McNeese game); Plitt for 8 and closing with Ryan Wilson, the Saturday starter?

Robe said they are considering moving him to Sunday and wanted to get him a little work. Plus they went through a lot of pitchers the night before in Lake Charles.

We went 7 and 1 against the state SLC teams. Best we have done in that regard in quite awhile.
