I'm not here to defend the contractors. I totally believe that they are taking longer than they should have. I mean the floor hasn't even been laid yet so that the turf can be put down. But you have to admit that these torrential rains and severe thunderstorms that we have been having almost every day has greatly hampered the progress of construction. The women's football clinic is slated for July and it is supposed to be hosted inside the FINISHED practice facility. My girlfriend was so psyched to go to the clinic and be able to see the finished building. It had better be done.
Kal, you missing the point. When the critical time for laying the footing was available he was being a grasshopper last year instead of an ant. We were in a prolonged drought with little or no rain. He started preparing and pouring the footing after the rains started. Still this spring has not, has not been unusual in rainfall and he is still several months behind the projected finish date. He can get rain from now til it is done, but the fact remains his early procrastination is the primary reason for his current lack of performance.Originally Posted by Kal
I just figured out why the project is taking so long. Look at where the president of the company went to college.Originally Posted by Cajun Express

With the elements out of the way, the inside should move along quickly being that the building is really only a "shell". Go drive by & look at it................you'll be surprised.
I drive by almost everyday, and I see what you're seeing...it looks almost done to me Redbug.Originally Posted by RedBug58
Same here, they have been working on finishing the roof, ridge-vent, and painting the side vents so they can complete the siding all the way up. When it comes time for laying down the turf, that won't take long. I went inside a few weeks ago and they are doing a lot of work inside that you really cannot see by just driving by. Coach Bustle told me that they said June 1st, now he said he might not believe it until he sees it, but at least they are letting him know they are making an effort to get it ready for football season. After all, just becasue the whole things is not 100% complete doesn't mean it wont be ready for the football team to use...Originally Posted by jllanclos

Depends, Bustle said in late winter he expected it for June 1, 2007. I heard that personally. He may have said something else recently.Originally Posted by shammy
The team comes in early August, so we still have plenty of time. The only concern I have is the contractor can do the job, but will he do the job.
Actually I did mean June 1st, obviously it didn't happen.Originally Posted by shammy
