Dude, I thought I explained this one to you! WGN was the only channel that was on at the nursing home where my great grandmother lived. We went every Sunday. I grew up with Sandberg and Grace.

Btw, how can anyone hate the Cubs? They've been horrible for 100 years.

I knew you would chime in . Mainly because they are the Cubs. I am old school and I can't stand most national league teams but the Reds, my team. I casually follow some American League teams but none that I would say are my teams.

The worst thing that ever happened to the Cubs was firing Dusty Baker, because then he became the manager of the Reds and we were stuck with him.

I forget about your Reds fandom.

I am kinda a closet Yankee's fan because of grandfather and Ron Guidry. We had just moved back from Germany and the Yankees played exhibition games at the Superdome in 1980, 1981, 1982, and 1983.
Also a closet Mariner's fan because of Junior and Piniella, I wish Lou would have stayed as the manager of the Reds.

No doubt, I loved the Mariners. Griffey Jr is literally the reason why I got interested in sports as a kid.

I was a huge Sandberg fan growing up and love Rookie of the Year...besides that I had no feeling either way towards the Cubbies, even when you were in the Astros division. Would love to visit Wrigley though.

I still wish Lucroy would find his way to Atlanta some how, but then I'm prejudice that way. As long as he is not in the Braves division, I'd be ok with that.

The Braves have stocked their pantry on every other position this off season, especially pitcher. However, they have not traded for or signed any catchers. A.J. Pierzynski was supposed to be a stop gap for a catcher they had coming up, but the young catcher was a dud (and was traded) and A.J. had to play way more than expected.

Lucroy and A.J. would have made an awesome pair.
Braves fan here. We haven't had much to cheer for since Chip retired. And not to mention the fact that we traded away all our best players. Would really give the team a boost to get Luc.

Rookie of the Year, definitely. That movie was all the rage when we were young.

I've been to the friendly confines twice and it really is a unique experience. Took the clubhouse tour that they offer, I recommend it strongly if you ever are able to make the visit. Im on the fence about the big Jumbotron addition..

I would love to see Lucroy in an Astro uni. I don't see it happening, but as a huge Astro fan since the late 70's, I would love for it to be so.
