Luc will be in triple-A to start the year. He may get call up after the all star break as a backup. There are still questions about whether he will be a starter or backup in the long run. He still has work to do on calling games and blocking pitches mainly. Of course, everyone says he is ahead of the curve on offense.

  3. Default Sounds Complete Sweep, Downing Z's 12-1

Six Nashville players recorded multi-hit efforts Wednesday afternoon, including catcher Jonathan Lucroy, a former Louisiana-Lafayette star, who went 4-for-6. Eric Farris and Ray Olmedo, the first and second hitters in the Sounds lineup, each tallied ...

  4. Default Jonathan Lucroy is Player of the Month

Class AAA Nashville catcher Jonathan Lucroy was named the Brewers' minor league player of the month after hitting .405 with 10 home runs.

Jon Lucroy profiles to have a "decent to solid" bat in the big leagues, whatever that means. Callis believes he will be a decent big league regular for the Brewers. Sounds good.

That is lighting it up. However, the source said 10 RBIs. I did not see a mention of HRs (and seemingly it would not be 10 HRs).

Seems high for a month this paper says 10 home runs http://onmilwaukee.com/sports/articl...310.html?22535

Yes, the 10 HRs looks like a mistake. You can see the game logs here (scroll to the bottom) ...

He does not have any HRs in 2010. The .405 average also includes his AA time in the month of April. He hit .452 in AA this year (42 ABs) and is currently .306 in AAA (36 ABs). Still impressive numbers.

    I want him in Milwaukee....NOW!

His only minor league competition for the Milwaukee job has taken a leave of absense for "personal reasons". The team would be well served by promoting him this summer, since he obviously now is their future backstop (probably 2011), so he can learn from (39 year old) Greg Zaun, who has had a nice, long career playing for a bunch of teams. Anyway, it's a job well done by Jon, who is on his way up. It would not surpise me to see him there by July, certainly by September when the rosters expand.

MILB.com is the best source for all affiliated minor league stats. Its the official site and you can find any minor leaguers numbers.

Lucroy's batting .300 in AAA through 10 games. In AA, he was hitting .452 in 10 games. Same number of RBI in both, of course a few more K's and few less BB's in AAA. Still, he's doing really well.
