Jonathan Lucroy has no interest in doing a Joe Mauer.

When Mauer had issues staying healthy behind the plate, the Minnesota Twins decided to move him to first base to keep him available more in the long term. And while manager Ron Roenicke has started Lucroy eight times at first base to give his legs a periodic rest, the Brewers' No. 1 catcher does not care to change positions on a permanent basis at any point in the future.

LOS ANGELES — Jonathan Lucroy put the finishing touches on Milwaukee’s resounding three-game sweep of Los Angeles, giving the NL West leaders plenty to think about should they meet again in October.

Lucroy tied a season high with five RBIs, including his first home run in more than three weeks, and the Brewers beat the Dodgers 7-2 on Sunday to maintain their three-game lead over St. Louis in the NL Central.

Peralta was great again for the Brewers, but he really didn’t need to be as the Brewers knocked Haren out after just three innings and Jonathan Lucroy collected another 5 RBI as the Brewers rolled to a 7-2 win over the Dodgers.
