Marisnick never looked at the throw and came inside the line. He had the entire outside of the line open AND the ball wasn't even close. He was called out by rule, and hoping the commissioner sits him a bit. I call BS on unintentionally, that's a targeting call even in the NFL.

Reminds me of Jake's last play with Browns.

Lucroy may have concussion and a fractured nose. Kudos to the Astros radio broadcast team for wishing him well later in the game. Fortunately this is the last game before the All Star game and the Angels don’t play again until Friday. Hopefully that is sufficient recovery time. I have no idea if Marisnick intentionally collided with Lucroy but I do know he immediately went to check on Lucroy’s condition when the play was over. He realized something was wrong. I am sure the Commissioner will look at this play closely but I doubt a suspension will be given

We’ll see. I think the suits pay more attention to this since Buster Posey got crushed a few years back.

Marisnick was taking the inside line and starting his slide. When he saw the throw take Lucroy inside, he tried to stop his slide and braced for impact. Bad call to overturn and call him out since the throw brought Lucroy into his path. Marisnick immediately went check on Lucroy, nothing intentional happened.

not seeing the astros broadcaster deserving of kudos, they defended their guy first

Lucroy got Askren’d. Hopefully it isn’t too serious of a concussion but seeing him lock up afterwards indicates he may need some time off. Like it was stated earlier, All-Star break couldn’t have happened at a better time.

you guys need to click on the ben porter tweet that dre posted but then watch the second video. that runner geared up planted a foot and was so far inside fair territory would have never touched plate.

Through my eyes I thought the play was going to end up on the outside of the plate. I made a split second decision at full speed to slide head first on the inside part of the plate. That decision got another player hurt and I feel awful. I hope nothing but the best for @JLucroy20
