It appears that Jonathan Lucroy's time with the LA Angels is over. The Astros traded Max Stassi to the LA Angels last week and today the LA Angels designated Lucroy for assignment.
I guess they see more upside on Stassi then Lucroy. Lucroy is 33 and batting .242 7 HR's and 30 RBI, he has an OBA of .310.
Stassi is hitting .167 with 1 HR and 3 RBI with an OBA of .235.
Stassi is 28 years old.
Career wise, Lucroy has a .275 BA over 4068 AB's
While , Stassi has a .218 BA over 390 AB's
If this is the end, would not be surprised with a one day contract with the Brewers.
If this is the end, this would be the first time since 1998 that a Cajun catcher has not been been in the major leagues.
Paul Bako -1998-2009
Jonathan Lucroy 2010-2019
For the past 21 years, the Cajuns have had a catcher in MLB.
I’m assuming he’s still rehabbing from that collision a few weeks ago.
I would be very surprised if Luc isn't picked up.
Former Cajun had just been activated from the injured list
I would love to see him in a Stros uni
