Does anyone know how Luke is doing in big league camp?
He got a walk today in the 8th in his first plate appearence, I think.

Does anyone know where Lucroy is expected to start the season at? I would think double-a?
Probably double A, Huntsville Stars

We just got back from Arizona last night. We got to see 3 games. Jonathan is doing very well and he's having a great time. He looks like he "fits" with the big league players.
Last Thursday against the Cubs, he caught 3 innings and had one at bat. He flew out to deep right field about 10 feet shy of the fence. Then he pinch hit in the 8th yesterday against the Giants, and drew a walk.
He told me that he can hardly believe that he's rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder. He said everyone has been very nice and fun to be around. He's learning a lot from those guys.
He will probably leave Big League Camp in a week or so to begin working out with the minor league players.
Jonathan has not been told where he will be in April, but he thinks it will be in AA in Huntsville, Alabama.
I have to say that I don't want Lucroy to make the big league team yet. If he made it now then I would think that he is not part of the future. All he would do is sit behind Kendall. If he is sent to AAA or AA then it says they want him to get everyday at bats and keep getting better. I would hope to see Lucroy in the pros around mid 2010 or 2011. Judging from what he did last year, I would say that he is on the road to the bigs. Can't wait to see him tearing it up.
He made his first spring start today getting two hit and scoring two times.

The Brewers play the Cubs today at 2 PM CST on WGN on DirecTV. Decent chance Jonathon either starts or gets in the game.
Lucroy came in to catch the 7th inning and got an at-bat which he grounded out to 3rd. He took the count to 3-2 after fouling off 3 or so strikes. Paul Bako was the catcher for the Cubs. The color announcer stated that both Bako and Lucroy attended the same college but when each attended the school had different names. When Bako went it was called Univerisity of Southwest Louisiana and now is called Univerisity of Louisiana-Lafayette.
He forgot the 'ern' and 'at'
I wonder what the league average is for 1st at bats in a game.
