    i get the merit of having a spring game. i definitely understand it. I just think that it's not necessary. i agree, it could happen at anytime, however; you increase the chances of freak accidents happen when you play these "skirmish" games. Obviously no one would want this to happen to anyone, but if it has to happen i'd much rather it happen in an actual game where his injury wouldn't be in vain. just my 0.02

    It was probably better for him to get hurt in the spring than a game in the fall. Now he has a whole year to recover plus a couple of months. He would have probably missed most of 2 seasons if he was hurt in the 1st or 2nd game of the season.

    I wished he wouldn't have been hurt at all and still wish him a speedy recovery.

    I heard that Bradley Brown broke his collar bone in the spring game. If so, add his name to the get well list too.
