I suspect that some 5'9" CBs might have a problem defending 6'5 Robinson and 6'7" Johnson.

All of the tight ends were outstanding. Was shocked to see one bolting down the middle of the field like a wide receiver. We could become known as TightEnd U if the coaches engage them in pass routes like they did yesterday. Big size, lots of speed and great hands. But it was Lance Pace that shocked me the most. Not sure how 6'4" defenders are going to cover this 5'9" receiver. What a find!

    Is it September yet?

Haack was impressive. Composed in the pocket, good feet, accurate passing. One way or another, we're looking solid at the qb position this year

I was thinking the same thing. Johnson could really be a BEAST as he develops. Physically reminds me of slightly thinner Jimmy Graham. Then you'll have Sargent in the slot. And the Pace kid was very impressive! Think Brandon Stokely, Wes Welker. Our offense should be POTENT!!:

I agree...Landor looked ok but Haack showed great touch and pocket awareness. Haack is the heir apparent, unless Landor can learn to exploit his own athleticism. Landor looks like Broadway and Gauthier did before the light went off. If we can have both Haack and Landor as Juniors we could have a pretty potent one-two punch at the signal caller spot...one deadly accurate and the other who can make you look like your feet are stuck in cement.

Defense was a bit soft but didn't look as soft as last year. They bent but never broke too easy. The offense had to work for their points. Jalen Fields looks like a manimal. He looks (size wise) like he should be in the NFL already. With him at 100% we should see his full potential realized. Hopefully we can get Rodney Gillis back at the safety position, and the two incoming JUCO CB's (Trim and Tillman) turn into Moten 1A & 1B.

The TE you are referring to is a HS senior who enrolled in the Spring semester---Nick Byrne from Rogers Ark---I guess Hud will let him go to his Sr Prom!!!! It would be great if we could keep the RS on Byrne and the other TE coming in from Texas
