I was hoping he was ranked 115th.

Yeah, it would be a damn miracle if Coach Hud is here next year.

Hud will be here next year [2014]. He will not miss Broadway's senior campaign unless the Cajuns are in a BCS bowl this year and Broadway declares for the draft.

It's already a miracle he is still here.

He will if the right BCS school comes calling

So I would like to pose this question.

Do we (UL) have the ability to move our program up to BCS level?

If so, how long would it take?

I'll never say never but it would be next to impossible IMO.

It's safe to say that no conference besides the Big XII would ever want anything to do with us even if we made it to the level of Boise State. Heck even TCU, who has been wildly successful the past 10 years, couldn't get into the Big XII until a realignment crisis caused the Big XII to find new members. And TCU is in the 4th largest market in the US.

And of course simply getting to the level of a Boise St. or TCU will be impossible given our current lack of resources. Not saying it can't happen one day. But it won't happen unless there are some substantial improvements around here.

Les Miles > Coach Hud? I beg to differ.

Let's say a certain entity in Starkville in in need of a new employee.

Every year, you will be facing Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M, a resurgent Ole Miss, and schools due for a rebound like Arkansas and Auburn .

You are guaranteed to go 8-4 at best and get fired for it in a few years.

You will be making only 30-50% more than your current million dollar contract at an entity that you are guaranteed employment for life.

Would you roll the dice on a certain dead end job?

    or,

Would you stay put, get rich, become a legend, and get a stadium named after you with your statue out front?

I don't think any coach is guaranteed employment for life at any school. Ask Jim Valvano.
