Security Changes Possible at Vermilion Parish Courthouse

New security measures could soon be in place at the Vermilion Parish Courthouse.

15th Judicial District Court Judge Edward Rubin is ordering a report on the security or lack of at the courthouse to be complete within 90 days.

Walking into the Vermilion Parish Courthouse, you won't see metal detectors or deputies guarding the doors. Surveillance cameras do record around the clock and deputies provide security in the courtroom on trial days.
