I am more encouraged about Rimmer signing than I would be for most JUCO guards. Reason is he has already played a year of D1 ball. He was the SWAC freshman of the year in his first college year at Alcorn. At Alcorn, he would have to play a lot of road money games so that will be something that he has already experienced. Most JUCO guys we get have take time to adjust to D1 ball and it takes them half a season to be ready. It won't take this guy nearly as long. Some say he was the best junior college player in Mississippi this past year at Pearl River. I believe his ppg average was around 13 and his percentages were fine. I bet he starts in AMT's spot.

That is true...but our success next year will be limited without another big man.

Can't agree with you more. It will be most disappointing if we sign no big man.

Talking with coach on Tuesday he said they are looking at several big men from out of the country. We may not know until the middle of May.

I heard that Brett smith tried earlier to turn him on to a couple of big Australians..but at the time he wasn't interested. What the hell was he thinking?

Didn't LaState just sign a 7'1" center from Australia?

I don't know...but my point was there are a few guys down there worth considering. I was told that Marlin just wasn't interested.
