Boomer,
I am the coordinator of the Exercise Science program for the School of Kinesiology at UL...I am also the faculty rep for the UL KPA student club. I LOVE helping our students find jobs, career paths, and helping them get into graduate school. I also love helping raise money for many worthwhile charities.
My PhD is in Biomechanics and my true love is pitching mechanics. I love discussing the physics of sport technique as well as mechanisms of injury.
nice to meet ya!
I was for real about that symposium...we can also learn how a curve ball curves. 8-)
A couple of weeks ago, someone came on here questioning Austin's ability and Coach Robe's judgement in not removing him as a weekend starter.
Funny...that guy hasn't been on here the last two weeks...and Austin's last two complete games. Funny how that works.
----Nice to meet you and thanks for what you do---I have a Masters in Phys. Ed---and developed an exercise program that include both aerobic and anaerobic concepts that involve Full/Partial major muscle group action----I would love to discuss it with you one day as I had developed it about 35 years ago and think it still has great merit---It hasn't been published yet!!! Thanks to a great Physics teacher at Jesuit HS in NO I was introduced to the curve ball concept----Where are you from???
The budding metropolis of Delcambre...and extremely proud of it...ask my students 8-)
I have my Masters Degree from UL in Phys ED and have written an advanced exercise program which includes full/partial body muscular parts movement with a resistance concept based upon repetition of exercises---It is the combination of aerobic and anaerobic concepts!!!! My great Physics teacher at Jesuit HS in NO taught us about Mr Bernoulli's deal and had the class yelling "come on Bernoulli" at the games!!!
LOL good stuff...was Dr. Dugas there at the time? what about Dr. George? I took Dr. George's place when he retired
Gerry was an idol of mine and my brother's classmate at Jesuit---He got a s-ship to I think Mich. St for gymnastics----He was just unreal on the rope climb at which as a 12 year old I marveled at his ability---The last time I saw him he had written some books I believe on sport safety and was wondering where he could find an old Latin Henle grammar text---We both really liked Latin from our Jesuit days---Anyway we live in the small town of Abbeville outside of Erath where we lived 16 years!!! I think Al Simon former De LA Salle of NO coach might have headed the department then---good times and well some pretty bad ones also!!! lol
