I'd say the biggest factor in our loss to UNeaux was mental. But you are correct, they do deserve some credit. I'm just reminding Cajun fans, that we will face Corey Luebke Friday. He is better then any lefthander the Cajuns faced in the Sun Belt. Don't talk about the aggies, until we take care of business Friday.Originally Posted by AstroCajun
Im a buckeye fan and we are not a homerun hitting team as you can probably tell. Our best starting pitcher went down for the year in march with tommy john surgery. Lubeke is really good, and Hale are number 2 starter was the closer untill late in the year and he has come on strong late in the season by beating michigan the regular season champion in the big ten tournament. J.B. Shuck is our number 3 guy, he is alright but a better outfielder than a pitcher.
B-unit, do you have a feel for how well Buckey fans will travel to College Station?
So we were not familiar with them? We did not have almost every advantage? They just played better than us. In fact the last two times we played UNEAUX they kicked the crap out of us. We are two and two this year against UNEAUX and won the first two tight games, but got blasted in our last two games with them. Point is? I don't see being familiar as being a big factor. Don't we have scouting, don't we have coaches, were our players unable to become familiar with them? Just own up, and admit they outplayed us it is as simple as that.Originally Posted by AstroCajun
No, you are missing my point. I was responding to the notion that because we lost to a weaker opponent we would struggle v. OSU.Originally Posted by Cajun Express
I countered that there's a big difference between playing a very familiar opponent (if not rival) versus an unknown to us.
Hopefully very well, as i understand it, they are one of the best traveling universities in the country. although traveling well for baseball is far from traveling well for football, especially up there where baseball probably isn't very high on many folk's list of priorities.Originally Posted by Dad04
Eh, who cares about pitchers and batters... what color do your fans sport to baseball games? You should tell them to wear bright vermillion (red) so as not to be confused with an Aggie fan (maroon). Aggies usually wear their shirts inside out... not on purpose.Originally Posted by B-UNIT

in 2003 we played down in auburn and we had a really strong turn out, all the auburn fans were amazed by how many fans a nothern school brought down, probably because it was a days drive 8-10 hours. college station is more like a 2 day drive so probably just parents a few die hards and old alumni in the area.Originally Posted by Dad04
baseball is pretty high on our priority list just nothing can match our intensity and insanity for football. in 1999 and 2003 we hosted super regionals and there were probably more people in the parking lot than could get into the game. in ohio the weather is just finally getting nice, when our home season starts the weather is usually in the fifties with lots of rain.Originally Posted by rhineaux
